Transcendent Engineering - TOC

This book is work in progress. I argue that science and engineering will probably achieve practical “immortality” based on mind uploading technology, and may then develop megascale space-time engineering and even the capability to resurrect the dead, perhaps sooner than envisaged by Tipler in his Omega Point scenario. I propose to base a “transhumanist religion” (perhaps “religion” is not the right word) on this idea. The chapter Engineering Transcendence can be read as a stand-alone summary of the rest of the book and provides a rationale, in a memetic engineering sense, for the program proposed.
